I mean it's extremely easy to miss a spot where the enemy can slide in to torch your base/kill your workers. This is stupid beyond all reason as it happens always regardless if you want it or not!įor a game who's MAIN focus is castle building the UI is SH*T. The game forces you to hire mercenary arabian units early EVERY SINGLE TIME as it takes too much time to make crusade units early game. ![]() Keep in mind the crusade units are just like in the original Stronghold so what new you are left with are the mercenaries which are also arabian units. At least the campaign offered some special units for a change(Army Men not Crusader.). Whatever units you have the enemy also has them - not much content right there just like in the game Army Men RTS. You build your walls, gather resources, raise an army and destroy the opponent. You are supposed to immediately build your towers and walls as otherwise you won't be able to as the enemy will get too close. ALWAYS do everything faster than you as he is CPU controlled :) ![]() ALWAYS have gold to hire unlimited arabian mercenaries and he ALWAYS have positive popularity even if everything is destroyed and he has no food and he ![]() This is both extremely unrealistic and annoying as this way every game is the same over and over again. As soon as you start the enemy throws hundreds of soldiers at you and he doesn't stop. One of the main issues is the absurd tempo of the game. It has some major annoyances which I don't find in any other RTS yet people claim it's "the best rts" which is bull as the Total War Series are a lot better excluding the mosh pit Rome 2 is sadly :(. I don't understand the high ratings Stronghold Crusader has.
